Today’s guest is returning to the podcast for the second time, and as you’ll hear, not only does she have a goal of achieving the most guest appearances on The Art of Paid Traffic, but she also has some big goals for her business.
Brandi Mowles manages Facebook ads for online experts, but she also has a membership program where she teaches service providers how to scale to consistent $10,000 months, without hiring a team to do it.
The first time Brandi was on the show we broke down each side of her business, and she ran through the beta launch of her membership program that she had just completed. Since then she’s done a public launch and she absolutely crushed it, which is why I wanted to have her back to share how she did it, and what she learned in the process.
You’re going to hear a step-by-step breakdown of how Brandi did this “full on” launch, including her ad budget, email sequence, and the 3 part-video series that worked so well for her.
Although she fell short of her goal to get 1,000 webinar registrations, Brandi still got over 500 people, at an average cost per lead of about $4 (Brandi thought this way too high, but wait until you hear what her impressive earnings per lead number was)!
A launch can be overwhelming and Brandi does a great job of running through her thought process and how she handled everything, including negative feedback from one person, as well as how her thinking has shifted in terms of what she will be prioritizing next time. If you’re thinking of launching for the first time, or improving on the process for your next launch, what Brandi has to share today is invaluable!
Before we start the show, I’ve got something to ask. At this time we have over 500 5-Star ratings and reviews on Apple Podcasts, which is great, but I’ve set a goal to get 750 of them by the end of Q3, Sept 30th, 2019. If you’ve gotten value from this podcast, I’d really appreciate you subscribing and leaving an honest rating and review. Take a screenshot, share it on your Instagram Stories and tag me, @rickmulready. When we hit the 750 ratings and reviews, I’ll be raffling off a book bundle of my top 10 business and mindset books for one lucky winner. If you’ve already left a rating and review, just take a screenshot and tag me on Instagram, and you’ll be eligible to win as well!
Want to win a 30-minute strategy session with me? I’ll be drawing one winner at random each month, and all you have to do is give me your feedback on this podcast over at http://rickmulready.com/messenger, telling me what you’d like to hear more of - including topics you’d like to see covered, guests, style and frequency of the show!

It takes a lot to get me nervous, but I’d by lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about publishing this episode. Today my friend Tiffany Lee Bymaster is flipping the script and turning the tables by interviewing me, and we go really deep with a lot of stuff in this one.
You may remember that Amy Porterfield was on the podcast to interview me and give listeners some background on my life back in Episode 200. If you’re a regular listener you know that my life has changed so much since that episode was recorded (including the fact that I’m now a Dad!), which is why I wanted to air this recent conversation with Tiffany.
It was several months ago when I reached out to Tiffany and asked her how I could be improving my social media, and she said she wanted to interview me for this show, and now we’re doing it!
In this episode you’ll hear me talk about fatherhood, my business evolution, the big realizations I’ve made about business and success since becoming an entrepreneur in 2012, and Tiffany even asks me a series of questions that my students wanted answered too.
She also asks me a “lightning round” of questions where I share my favorite food, business book, why I’m a “movie snob” when I go to the movies, some weird facts about me, and a whole lot more.
We end the episode on a serious note where I talk about the legacy I want to leave my daughter, and I share the message I’ll want her to hear when she grows up. Although we covered so much in this episode, there was still a lot that Tiffany and I didn’t touch, and she did such a great job interviewing me that I’m definitely going to have her back on the show to do this again.

The Practicing Mind by Thomas M. Sterner
My guest today is a member of my current Accelerator mastermind group, and she has been crushing it in just the short time since we started working together! Hallie Sherman is a speech-language pathologist who works full-time in the public school system in New York, and for the last 8 years she’s also been selling digital resources for busy speech-language pathologists online, and I’m sure that her story will resonate with many of the listeners of this podcast.
Hallie began selling her resources on a website called Teachers Pay Teachers back in 2012, and after realizing that she only had so many hours in a week, she has now shifted her focus to creating her own “mini-courses” to sell on her own website. Her products are reasonably priced, about $30 for one and $75 for a bundle, and Hallie recently had a very successful launch, generating 5-figures in revenue in just 5 days.
In this episode you’ll hear how Hallie has made the transition from “hobby” to a true online business, and what really showed her that her audience wanted more digital offerings from her.
She reveals how she built her email list, which now has over 15,000 subscribers, and the way she launched her first online course to generate those 5-figures in revenue.
From listening you’ll note that Hallie is an action taker who always has an open mind, and she doesn’t overcomplicate the process or try to re-invent the wheel. The way she launched is actually the opposite of what I usually teach my students, in that she created the course first and then sold it, but it worked really well for her since she already had the content ready and knew what she was going to have in her mini-courses.
Hallie has created amazing momentum in her business so far, and I truly believe the sky is the limit for her when it comes to what she can create in her life and business!

On today’s show I want to talk to you about 3 Facebook Instagram ad mistakes I’ve been seeing lately that are keeping people from getting the results that they want from their ads. These concepts are going to be basic and fundamental in nature, but I find that it’s usually these types of things that are messing us up (and you’ll hear which of these mistakes I’ve been making lately as well).
This episode was inspired by what I was saw at our first Accelerator Group Mastermind retreat here in San Diego earlier in the year. I saw that there was an opportunity for our members to make some changes to lower their cost per lead, and in one campaign, a member was able to do just that and lower her cost per lead from $40 to $5, in just a day!
How did she do it? She was able to make this significant improvement in cost by implementing what I share on the podcast today, and I feel that you could improve your ad performance as well with a few of these simple tweaks and strategies.
