Today’s strategy session is with one of my students, Rachel Lindtiegan, who use to be employed with an ad agency in New York City. Rachel left the corporate world to start her own coaching, consulting and online training business, and in this episode, she’ll be sharing her experiences launching her first online course.

Rachel says that her recent launch “fell flat” and that she didn’t get any sales from it, so we break down the possible reasons for this, from her Facebook ad performance all the way through her webinar funnel.

As you’ll hear, in Rachel’s case there’s nothing jumping out to me that she necessarily did wrong, but it’s a matter of just getting more people in the funnel and then her focusing on improving a few specific things. By doing this, I feel she’ll see massive improvements in the results she achieves in 2019.

Before we start the show, I’ve got something to ask. How do you listen to this podcast? Is it in the iTunes app, Stitcher, Spotify or maybe iHeart Radio? Do you listen to it at regular speed, or maybe like me you listen to your podcasts at 1.5X speed? I want to know! Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready!

Want to win a 30-minute strategy session with me? I’ll be drawing one winner at random each month, and all you have to do is give me your feedback on this podcast over at http://rickmulready.com/messenger, telling me what you’d like to hear more of - including topics you’d like to see covered, guests, style and frequency of the show!

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

  • Rachel’s launch strategy and the results she achieved, including sign-ups, attendance rate, and more.
  • The biggest challenges she faced with her webinar and launch in general
  • What her follow-up sequence looked like and what I suggest she do in order to get invaluable feedback from her audience
  • Why I wouldn’t worry about re-targeting if I were Rachel (and what she should look to use as her objective next time)
  • Steps she can take to build awareness for her first launch of 2019 and the way she can use a live course and challenge to promote it
  • My budget recommendations for Facebook ad spend on Rachel’s next launch

Welcome to another Quick Tip episode!

This is where I share a quick tip with you each week that’s related to Facebook ads or online marketing or just general growing your business tips.

And with today’s quick tip I wanted to share my thoughts on some actual Facebook ad copy from people who were having a hard time either getting their ads disapproved or they weren’t sure if their copy was within policy.

Kind of a "dos and don’ts" of Facebook ad copy.

This is an episode that’s been a long time coming, and it’s a topic I get asked about a lot. Today’s episode is for real estate agents as well as people wanting to manage Facebook ads for realtors. If you fall into neither category, don’t turn this off, because there are so many principles in this one that will be relevant for multiple types of businesses.

So why did I want to do this episode? I think real estate agents tend to be stuck in the ways of traditional marketing, and they often aren’t open to hearing about new and more effective ways to market their real estate businesses.

You’ll be hearing lots of strategies for positioning yourself as the “go-to” real estate professional in your area, or if you have a Facebook ads business, the person who is best suited to help real estate agents sell their listings and attract buyers to list with them.

I’m doing something a bit different today, as I’ll be teaching for the first half of this episode and then I’ve invited one of my Accelerator Group Coaching students to share her expertise with us in the second half.

Jennifer Myers is a Realtor in the Washington, DC area, and she owns an extremely successful real estate brokerage there. She’ll be revealing the three phases of marketing your real estate business and her formula for repeatable, consistent growth for real estate professionals. Jennifer is also sharing the 5 big mistakes that she sees people in this industry doing wrong when marking their business, so this is definitely an episode you’re going to want to listen to!

  • What successful real estate agents are doing to rise about the competition and the importance of embracing video marketing as a strategy

  • The different types of ads that would be good for a Realtor® to use and what a Facebook ads manager working with these professionals will need to do to attract them as clients

  • How Jennifer’s business looks a lot different now as opposed to 15 years ago when she was first starting in real estate

  • The ways she was able to look outside of the real estate industry to learn successful marketing practices to use in her business

  • Why you really need to niche down – and how to do it the right way

  • The reason you need to be consistent, and why trying to focus on multiple platforms is a big mistake

  • What Jennifer means when she says that your marketing doesn’t end when you have the client - and a very surprising statistic that backs this up

Welcome to another Quick Tip episode!

This is where I share a quick tip with you each week that’s related to Facebook ads or online marketing or just general growing your business tips.

On today’s show, I’m joined by Liz Tennyson, who runs a Facebook ads business and is helping female entrepreneurs who are building businesses that support their families.

In this episode, we talk about how Liz got started in the online space as a health coach, and how she became an expert in building sales funnels, as well as coaching others on their mindset.

As one of my students, Lize recently attended my FBA Live event here in San Diego and you’ll hear some of the big breakthroughs she made there, and the massive action she’s taken in her life and business in just the last few days since the event took place.

She reveals the importance of the customer journey (along with a hack for using Amazon to really get to know your ideal customer), and how this all applies to the sales funnels she now uses.

You also won’t want to miss the raw emotional personal story that Liz shares towards the end of the episode that showed her she really needed to change the way she was doing things in order to create her ideal Facebook ads business. You’ll also discover how Liz is making this happen by getting support from others, and how she’s completely changed the way she views her business.

Welcome to another Quick Tip episode!

This is where I share a quick tip with you each week that’s related to Facebook ads or online marketing or just general growing your business tips.

Today’s quick tip is about why are so many Facebook ad accounts getting shut down lately and what you can do about it.

A while back I had someone join my Facebook Ad Manager program, and in one of the very first conversations I had with him, he told me that it was his goal to be a case study here on the podcast. Guess what? Aaron Pearson has come full circle and he’s here to talk today about how he’s grown his Facebook Ads business from about $5,000 a month in revenue to around $25,000 at this time.

He talks a lot about how his company is able to be so successful in marketing their business in a small market based near Plano, Texas. If you think you need to be in a big city to run a successful Facebook Ads business, you’re wrong, and Aaron shares why today…

Aaron also reveals how he gets his business in front of the right prospective clients, what percentage of budget his team uses for creative when working with a client, his advice for new Facebook Ad managers, and a whole lot more.

Aaron is a great example of why becoming a student of marketing is essential to growing a thriving Facebook Ads business. You’re going to hear about his big plans and future vision for his company, but also how you don’t need a big budget to get started. As long as you have a laptop, an Internet connection, and a willingness to learn and try new things out you could also be well on your way to doing the same.

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

  • Some of the challenges they faced in the first year of business, and how they were able to build the confidence and evolve their marketing strategies since then

  • The ways they find local businesses with advertising dollars to spend, and the actual pitches Aaron uses to convert them from prospect to client

  • Why his team is now focusing on videos and the format and makeup their using to find success using video ads

  • How they’ve been able to effectively niche down to local businesses in his area without limiting who they work with to one specific business or industry

  • Where he comes up with his ideas for campaign strategies and examples of successful funnels they’ve used for different clients they work with

  • What their team looks like now as they’ve grown the business from its humble beginnings, and how they decide which roles to hire for first
