On today’s episode I welcome back Steve Loiselle, a student of mine who is absolutely crushing it for his local business clients with his Facebook Messenger campaigns. I asked Steve to come back so he could take you through 3 case studies where he’s getting amazing results, including one for a local real estate agent, one for a restaurant owner in a small town, and the campaign Steve is doing for his martial arts gym that’s opening soon.

You’re going to hear how the real estate campaign led to the sale of two houses, including one that was $600,000, in only 5 days and with a small ad spend of just $260. The restaurant owner more than 10X’d the initial ad spend of $250, and Steve sold 20 new memberships at $657 for his marital arts gym that doesn’t open until June 2019, with an ad spend of $300!

Steve has become the “go to” person for advice in our Facebook group when in comes to Facebook Messenger campaigns, not only is he doing so well for his clients, but because he’s doing it in some very small local markets in Eastern Canada.

I continue to be so impressed by Steve and the campaigns he’s running for his clients. How is he accomplishing these results? By being patient, consistent, doing his research and by always testing and re-testing.

Make sure to stick around to the end of the episode, as I’m going to give you the details on a special live training and I will be doing with founder and CEO of Opesta, Ethan Sigmon, all around Facebook Messenger. If you’re not using Facebook Messenger right now you’re going to want to check this out, because there are a lot of very cool things we’ll be talking about that you could be doing right now to market and grow your business!

Before we start the show, I’ve got something to ask. How do you listen to this podcast? Is it in the iTunes app, Stitcher, Spotify or maybe iHeart Radio? Do you listen to it at regular speed, or maybe like me you listen to your podcasts at 1.5X speed? I want to know! Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready.

Want to win a 30-minute strategy session with me? I’ll be drawing one winner at random each month, and all you have to do is give me your feedback on this podcast over at http://rickmulready.com/messenger, telling me what you’d like to hear more of - including topics you’d like to see covered, guests, style and frequency of the show!

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

  • What motivated Steve to focus Facebook Messenger versus the other forms of online advertising
  • People love to connect – how he’s using this to increase the results he’s seeing in his clients’ campaigns
  • The funnel he used for his real estate client and what he did to pre-qualify and increase the quality of leads coming in
  • The objective he used to get 23 cent leads in this campaign and how he targeted the ads in such a small area
  • Why the language he used for the bot was so important and contributed to the success they saw in the campaign
  • What Steve did before even approaching the owner of the restaurant to propose working together
  • The contest giveway funnel he used to generate a 10x return on the restaurant owner’s ad spend, and what he would do differently next time to make even more for his client
  • How Steve used Facebook Messenger to created awareness for his soon-to-open martial ads studio and the objective he used to build an audience
  • The funnel that led to 110 email subscribers for his new business in just 3 days and how he’s using video to increase interaction with his customers

In this episode you’ll hear a conversation with Ethan Sigmon, who is the founder and CEO of Opesta, a Facebook Messenger marketing automation tool. I asked Ethan to come back on the podcast to share a really cool Facebook Messenger case study of a campaign he worked on with our mutual friend, John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneurs on Fire, who also happens to be a past guest of The Art of Paid Traffic.

Ethan reveals the strategy they used to help John become on of the top affiliates for Russell Brunson’s Expert Secrets book campaign, topping huge names like Tony Robbins in the process.

He shares why this strategy worked so well, and how you could be doing the same thing in your business right now. If you’re a regular listener of the show you know that I’m a huge fan of marketing with Facebook Messenger, which is another reason why I wanted to bring Ethan back to talk more about it.

Make sure to stick around to the end of the episode, as I’m going to give you the details on a special live training Ethan and I will be doing all around Facebook Messenger very soon. If you’re not using Facebook Messenger right now you’re going to want to check this out, because there are a lot of very cool things we’ll be talking about that you could be doing right now to market and grow your business!

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

• Ethan’s motivation for doing what he does, and the “a-ha” moment when he realized they needed to go all in on Facebook Messenger

• How to use Facebook’s “Comment to Messenger” feature and stay within their guidelines

• A killer Facebook Live strategy for building your Messenger list (and other free tactics that will help do it) • A simple tweak Ethan used for John Lee Dumas’ campaign that shot him to the top of the affiliate leaderboard

• The funnel they used, including the landing page layout and copy

• What the “24-hour” rule is for Facebook Messenger and why you should be aware of it

• Why he feels the value of a Messenger subscriber is so much greater than that of an email subscriber right now

• What you can do today to get started with Facebook Messenger and ensure you’re not leaving money on the table with your customers

Next week Steve Loiselle will be back on the podcast to share how he’s crushing it with Facebook Messenger! He’ll be talking about 3 specific campaigns, including one where a real estate agent sold a $600,000 house in 5 days using a Messenger campaign, the crazy results a restaurant in a small town achieved, as well as how Steve and his girlfriend are using in to market their brand new business!

I’m very excited today to be bringing you the first in-person podcast recorded here at the Team Mulready studio, with my guest being a very good friend of mine, Mel Abraham. In this episode Mel and I will be talking about a topic that’s been touched on before on the podcast, but never to this extent. We’re are looking at discussing market sophistication and market saturation, and the need for us to all be aware that not every person in our target audiences is at the same place in his or her business journey.

Mel’s background is as a CPA, but as he says, he’s an “entrepreneur by exhilaration,” started his first business venture at the age of 11 years old doing magic shows for kids (and making $50 per half hour in the process)!

His mission now is to help others discover how to build their own expert business and become an authority brand and thought leader. In this episode you’ll hear how he did this for himself as a CPA and set himself from his many competitors, which I thought was very relevant as the online space as well can be a very crowded niche.

Mel shares his expertise on thought leadership, and what really makes a leader. Regardless of where you are in your business though, there’s a need to have conversations with your audience where they are at, and Mel gives the framework for how we can do this, the right way, in this episode.

You’re going to hear his advice for someone just starting out with an online business, where a lot of us are going wrong, and what we should be appealing to in our audience and what to have in place of each level of market saturation.

When it comes to market sophistication, messaging is key and you absolutely need to know who you want to serve, and how to serve them one you’ve identified where they are at in their journey.

As Mel says, society is starved for a new way of thinking and doing things, but more importantly, they’re starved for hope. Your audience can see the possibilities for their future and where they want to be through you, and by positioning yourself the right way you will be help to help more people in the process.

Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready!

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

• What really makes us an “expert” – and why it’s not just about the amount of letters that come after our name

• How to get through the imposter syndrome, or feeling that we aren’t the ones to be teaching other people our content

• What “market saturation” means and the 5 levels of it that exist

• The most powerful level of market saturation and how we can target his aspect of our clients in the most effective way

• The power of visual learning tools and how to use them to speak directly to your ideal audience

• Why being the loudest in your niche and “casting a wide net” isn’t the best way to market yourself, and what you should be focusing on instead

• Where to find the right audience to speak your message to, and what to do once you locate them

• The ways Mel does his targeting and tests his messaging to different parts of his audience

• What I have done in the past to figure out why my clients have purchased products from me and what set me apart from others in my niche for them

Welcome to another Quick Tip episode!

This is where I share a quick tip with you each week that’s related to Facebook ads or online marketing or just general growing your business tips.

Today’s quick tip is talking about what's your "why" in your business.

Let’s jump into it...

I’m so excited to be bringing you this interview today with Trish Taylor, who is part of our Accelerator group training program. Trish is a personal stylist who helps female entrepreneurs dress for the life they want, to dress the body they have right now and to love what they’re seeing in the mirror. My team and I have been watching Trish evolve so much in just the past 6 weeks, because just a short time ago she really wasn’t clear about who she was really meant to serve.

You’re going to hear the ways Trish has gotten clarity on who her ideal target audience is, and how she’s now created an online course that’s helped her narrow her focus even more.

Trish breaks down what this $497 course looks like, her funnel for the launch and how she’s just started running Facebook ads to promote it. At the time of recording it’s too early to tell how her ad campaigns did, but she promises to come back on and update listeners on the results!

Trish has some big plans for her business, and this course is the first step for her to connect deeper with the people she’s really passionate about serving. I think what she teaches lends itself very well for courses, webinars, challenges and paid advertising, which is why I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for Trish.

Take a screenshot of you tuning in to The Art of Paid Traffic, and include it on your Instagram Story, while tagging me, @RickMulready!

On the Show Today You’ll Learn:

• Why Trish would like to move away from 1-on-1 coaching, and how she plans to do this

• How she’s using a quiz and a challenge launch – but why I feel she shouldn’t count out using webinars

• The metrics she should be paying attention to when she evaluates the results of her Facebook ad campaigns

• My recommendations for how to follow-up with people who didn’t purchase the course

• An “asset” that Trish can leverage to sell her course and future products

• What she can do to keep prospects warm while she’s in the prelaunch phase

• Ideas for content she can create to attract the right audience, including a way to get introduced to other people’s audiences (and serve them too)
